Dressage Dissected: The biomechanics of flatwork exercises
Video based talk: 1hr talk, break, 45 minute talk followed by questions
To be truly in harmony with our horses, training, riding and correct timing of the aids should be based on how the horse moves and uses their body.
This dynamic evening lecture, illustrated with high definition slow motion videos, will cover what happens in the horses body during the different dressage moves we ride. Transitions, lateral work, straightness and suppleness will be studied as well as the basic gaits.
Understanding the anatomy of dressage improves performance and reduces the risk of injury.
This lecture is suitable for riders of all levels as well as coaches, trainers & therapists.
